The Scramble Pic product was a creation out of one of those "light bulb moments" from its President, Edna Bingham. Through the encouragement of family and friends the product was created to enjoy the Scramble format of golf. Known as Best Ball Golf or Scramble, Edna observed how the constant stopping, starting, reaching and straining of the golfers slowed down the game.
Realizing how much effort and strain on the back and knees became the primary focus on developing a standardized ball retriever easy enough to "tap and go" rather than fish into a cup or net. Keeping in mind the ease of a faster and better retriever, to advertising value became the focus. Advertisers who place their ads in the Scramble Pic rather than the customary discarded golf tee- signs were upmost in the development process.
